UKfilmNet understands that learning is about stage, not age. So our courses are learning journeys that begin with first principles and arrive ultimately at advanced ideas and skills.

GUIDANCE FOR SCHOOLS & 11-18s

All courses will provide some degree of learning value to all your learners regardless of age.Generally speaking introductory topics 1-4 (see below for specifics) will provide a broad-based, manageable introduction to industry and roles for early learners.

Later topics, will provide the basic concepts that will greatly inform understanding of ideas for 14-16 year olds, and further topics will be well suited to practical application of those concepts by learners within 18-19 age ranges and studies. Note: Later topics may well provide levels of skills and training suitable for only very specialist or extended learning.

GUIDANCE FOR UNIVERSITIES

Due to the very wide ranging skills and abilities of entrants to university, our courses do not require prior learning although a knowledge of media, language and history will be invaluable.

All courses have an introduction to the industry and role of the course topics, introducing early on, key concepts, language and theory that is later built upon through increasingly advanced skills and applied learning. Courses starting 1XX are foundation courses, with 2XX courses requiring the correspondingly numbered foundation course as a pre-requisite for maximum learning.
