As an entirely non-profit educational project UKfilmNet however small a project will always make all best efforts to ensure your safety and wellbeing online and on-set.

To that end we have published a series of policies explaining our aims and objectives for Safeguarding, Vulnerable Adults and Risk. Although as professionals we entrust you the teachers and educators with the skills and expertise to manage young people and their online activities safely - our aim is to support those safekeeping aims and to help provide you with every assistance and advice for wellbeing within our communities. to ensure those at risk have the protections afforded by our secure password protected user accounts and website learning spaces. FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUESTS.

Please keep in mind that like the majority of Private Companies and those with Charitable purposes or aims, UKfilmNet is not subject to Freedom Of Information Act or related requests and that the retrieval and the management of backups of any materials, grades, of other resources of any nature or format must remain the sole responsibility of you the end user. We are unable to facilitate FOI requests and indeed as a small non-profit volunteer project, any sort of requests for copies of any materials or assets you have uploaded - or misplaced - even if accessible by us - are likely to involve your meeting any costs any such request could incur.. So please, as responsible educators, do ensure you keep your own copies of all your work or grades and marking..

FINANCE & FUNDRAISING

UKfilmNet recognises that, in accepting funding from statutory bodies, it must consider the policy implications and obligations that might be tied to it and ensure that these do not contravene the aims of UKfilmNet. UKfilmNet can seek to raise funds from a series of charitable Trusts and Foundations, but recognises that, simply because these have been registered with the Charity Commission does not mean that they are ethical givers.

UKfilmNet therefore does not accept money from any charitable Trust if it is a requirement of grant receipt to advertise any company or organisation whose activities run contrary to UKfilmNet’s aims. UKfilmNet will maintain accountability and open and honest relationships with all its partners, by regularly monitoring and evaluating its work. Hence Our statement of policy on Fundraising Available here.is meant as a working guide for UKfilmNet. Any final decisions will be governed by the Board of Project leadership team. It is the duty of the Board to advise of any potential conflicts of interest with regards to funding or partnerships, and for the Board to act in the best interests of UKfilmNet at all times.
